Faces of Fanny’s: TeeTee (Teresa)

“Call me TeeTee”

“Call me TeeTee” she said as she reached out to embrace me for the first time. If you’re a Fanny’s regular, you know who I’m talking about. The spunky, warm, overall touting, love-fueled badass TeeTee is as much a part of the Fanny’s experience as anything else inside of Nashville’s most comfortable music store.

A former teacher in the St. Louis area, loving “noona” to her adorable grandbabies, and sister of co-owner P, she’s usually sitting on the bench near the front entrance where she can receive everyone who walks through the door with her welcoming energy. She’s just one of those shiney, sparkly people you don’t run into every day.

Today, we’re spotlighting her as the first installment in our “Faces of Fanny’s” series! I got to ask her a few questions over the week, and now I’m excited to share with all of you!

Favorite bands when she was a teenager:

Teetee says…

The Beatles of course.  Creedence Clearwater Revival, (John Fogerty), Aretha, Cream, the BeeGees…

Favorite thing about Nashville:

Teetee says…

The amazing “unknown” and truly talented musicians. And of course the BBQ!

New skills she’s learned since starting to work at Fanny’s:

Teetee says…

Well… I know what pick ups are now! I know how to tune guitars, ukes, basses.  I know what a “hummingbird guitar” is.  I can identify a Rickenbacker.  I really learn something new everyday I’m at Fanny’s!

Favorite neighborhood lunch spots?

Teetee says…

I love Hunters’ Station — such a great variety in one spot!  I also love the taco truck at the Marathon station, and I think Dino’s has a delicious cheeseburger!

First impressions of East Nashville?

Teetee says…

In spite of my age, I’m very liberal and believe East Nash is the best part of Nashville!   So since Fanny’s inception, 12 yrs ago, I’ve felt like it was the right fit.  Such great people and kids!!

Teetee, we just love the rickenbacker out of you! Thanks for chatting with us!
